清華以「自強不息、厚德載物」為校訓，從人才培育到研究發展，積極邀請全校師生參與社會事務。近年來，清華以富含底蘊之人文社會涵養，逐步成為新竹區域創新網絡的重要整合支柱，聚焦於建立新竹城鄉創生知識平台，持續推動社會實踐計畫，力促聯合國永續發展目標(SDGs)的實現。清華社會實踐期望以「城鄉共好、社會永續」為願景，攜手利害關係人，創造大學與社會互利共享、共存共榮的夥伴關係。

Guided by our motto, “Self-Discipline and Social Commitment” (自強不息、厚德載物), NTHU actively engages faculty and students in addressing social challenges through talent cultivation and research development. In recent years, NTHU has drawn upon its deep-rooted humanities and social sciences strengths to become a key integrator in Hsinchu’s regional innovation network. We focus on establishing a knowledge platform for urban-rural revitalization and continues to promote social practice initiatives aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. We envision “urban-rural co-prosperity and social sustainability” as the foundation of our social practice, working alongside stakeholders to build mutually beneficial, symbiotic partnerships between the university and society.

       2024年起，我們透過每年的USR年報出版，呈現：校務支持、人才培育、社會責任的落實、影響力與未來展望等年度成果。同時，在教育部政策的指導下，清華在2025年起開始推動「社會投資報酬率(SROI)」，期待在未來能夠建立USR社會影響力的評估機制。
